Armagh Rural Transport celebrates 10 years on the road

Armagh Rural Transport celebrated 10 years of community transport servcies Wednesday 19th May 2010.

Attending the Mayor's Reception at the Palace Stables, Kellie Armstrong CTA's Director for Northern Ireland said "Armagh are one of the longest serving community transport organisations in Northern Ireland.

Over the last 10 years they have provided over 181,000 minibus passenger trips and over 25,000 volunteer car passenger trips.

The team provides one of the best servcies in Northern Ireland. By encouraging volunteering ART delivers much needed access to socially isolated and excluded people in rural Armagh.

Congratualtions to the whole team on their committment and ongoingh success"

ART received national accolade when they were presented with the CTA Best Investment in Volunteers Award at Access10, Manchester.
