Who is Rural Lift for South West Fermanagh?

Rural Lift for South West Fermanagh’s aim has always been to “provide affordable, accessible transport in rural areas”. This has been achieved to date with a number of different services that are available. The Dial a Lift service was established in January 2000 and is currently fully funded through the Rural Transport Fund and has over 800 members with many of these members using the service a number of times each week. This is a door-to-door service for those who live in rural areas and are isolated due to lack of transport. We provide this service using a mixture of services including 7 minibuses, social car drivers and local taxi operators.

Rural Lift for South West Fermanagh also provides a successful group hire scheme and at present have more than 157 groups as members. All 7 of our accessible minibuses are available for community and voluntary groups to hire at an affordable rate therefore making services and activities more accessible.

We offer a number of training and volunteering opportunities so contact the office for more information.
